Street police step up patrols after graffiti reports
By Laura Linham 8th May 2026
Street's neighbourhood policing team says it has stepped up patrols after reports of anti-social behaviour and graffiti in local parks and open spaces.
Officers said incidents over the past couple of weeks have mainly involved graffiti being sprayed on nearby street furniture, including the underpass at Woods Batch in Street.
Police said patrols have already been carried out at parks and open spaces across the area to provide a visible presence and deter further anti-social behaviour.
The neighbourhood team said those patrols would continue when possible and that officers would "take positive action when required".
Residents are being urged to report any incidents they witness.
Police said anyone seeing graffiti being sprayed or any other crime in progress should call 999. Non-emergency incidents can be reported on 101 or through Avon and Somerset Police's online reporting system.
The latest patrols took place on Tuesday, 6 May 2026.
Anti-social behaviour figures in Street rose slightly in March, according to the latest recorded crime data for the area. Police recorded 11 anti-social behaviour offences in Street during March, up from nine in February. (Glastonbury and Street Nub News)
