Glastonbury residents are being invited to the town's Annual Town Meeting next month, with this year's gathering set to include a celebration of local volunteers and the Citizen of the Year award.

The event will be held at Glastonbury Town Hall on Thursday, 2 April 2026, running from 6pm to 9pm, with the official meeting due to begin at 7.30pm.

Town councillors say all residents of Glastonbury are welcome to attend. As well as the formal meeting, people will be able to meet local councillors, hear the latest news on projects and events, and speak to community organisations hosting stalls. Refreshments will also be available.

The evening will include a Celebration of Glastonbury Volunteer Awards alongside the presentation of the Citizen of the Year honour, putting the spotlight on people making a difference in the town.

The meeting will be led by The Worshipful Mayor of Glastonbury, Councillor Michael White. The published agenda includes a welcome from the Mayor and an update on the year, the signing of the minutes from the Annual Town Meeting held on 22 April 2025, questions from local electors and councillor responses, before the Mayor formally closes the meeting at 9pm.

For residents wanting to hear updates from the council, raise local questions and meet community groups face to face, the annual meeting is one of the key dates in the civic calendar.
