Drugs were seized in Glastonbury after officers stopped and searched two people acting suspiciously on the High Street.

On 6 January 2025, PCs Stacey Bennett and James Higgins were on patrol in the town centre when they noticed the individuals' behaviour and carried out a search. During the stop, a quantity of drugs was discovered and subsequently confiscated.

The officers took steps to deal with both individuals at the scene, though further details on any arrests or cautions have not been disclosed. The seized drugs will be sent for destruction in line with police procedures.

A spokesperson for the local policing team said: "This action forms part of our ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related activity and keep the community safe. We encourage residents to report any concerns they may have about drug use or dealing in the area."

Anyone with information about drug-related activity in Glastonbury can report it anonymously via Crimestoppers or directly to the police through their online portal: https://orlo.uk/NTPGy.
