They don't keep him from doing what he loves
Over 7,000 Somerset residents and organisations took part in a 19-week library service redesign consultation, Somerset County Council's Scrutiny Committee heard today.
Survey respondents were asked to review a set of proposals for the library they visit most often and consider the impacts the proposals will have on them, their family and their communities. They were also asked for alternative ideas on delivering library services going forward.

A wildfire pump came from Wells
Date: 09.07.2018
Time: 07:49
Location: Godney Road, Glastonbury
Fire appliances from Glastonbury and Street were mobilised to a report of a caravan on fire on Godney Road in Glastonbury.
On their approach they could see a large amount of smoke in the distance and upon arrival they confirmed a static caravan well alight.
Due to the proximity of the fire to an open field of dry standing crops, they requested a wildfire pump to attend to assist in extinguishing the fire. This came from Wells.
Crews used a main attach jet with water from an open source and drag forks as well as compressed air foam which provided a preventable barrier to stop fire spread to the adjacent field.
The cause of the fire was accidental which resulted in the caravan being completely destroyed along with 10 square metres of grassland.
