Street’s Strode Theatre flies high with Peter Pan panto win at the 2025 Cinderella Awards

Strode Theatre in Street is celebrating a major victory after its 2024 in-house pantomime production of Peter Pan scooped a string of top accolades at the 2025 Cinderella Awards.
Hosted by the Somerset Fellowship of Drama, the annual awards recognise the very best in amateur pantomime across the county. In only its third year of producing in-house pantos — and its first time entering the awards — Strode's Peter Pan walked away with seven category wins and nine further nominations.
One of the biggest standouts was young performer Edmund Boulton-Roberts, who took home three awards including Best Junior Male Singer, Best Junior Principal Boy, and the coveted Bradford Trophy for Best Overall U16 Performance. He was also nominated for the Eddie Bowker Trophy and Principal Boy of the Year.
The production also won awards for Best Junior Chorus, Best Chorus, Best Dance & Choreography, and the Moderator's Award for Originality, with judges praising the show's bold concept, imaginative storytelling, and vibrant staging.
Further nominations recognised the talents of Flo Milner and Georgina Sweet (both up for Best Female Singer), Arthur Macdonald (Best Male Singer and Best Villain), and the production team, who earned nods for Best Make-Up and Best Theatre Design.
A spokesperson for the theatre said the recognition reflected the "talent, dedication and passion" of everyone involved — from cast and creative directors to the backstage crew.
With rehearsals already underway for this year's production of The Wizard of Oz, the team at Strode are looking to build on their success.
If Peter Pan is anything to go by, it won't be long before Strode Theatre becomes a firm fixture on Somerset's panto awards circuit.
