Glastonbury faces a wet Saturday with a yellow rain warning. Expect floods, travel disruptions, and fluctuating temps during the Frost Fayre.

Glastonbury is still officially under a yellow weather warning for rain from 6am to midnight, but the latest local forecast suggests the town may avoid the heavier spells expected elsewhere in Somerset.

Instead of morning downpours, Glastonbury is now set for a mostly dry day with bright spells, turning cloudier later and with the greatest chance of showers arriving from early evening.

Sunny intervals and dry weather are expected through the morning and early afternoon, with temperatures rising gradually from around 4 degrees at dawn to 7 or 8 degrees by late morning. Conditions stay largely settled at 9am, 10am and 11am, with only a very small chance of rain.

Cloud will build from about 1pm, with temperatures reaching 8–9 degrees. A few brief showers are possible from mid-afternoon, but the main rain window now looks later than originally forecast.

The highest likelihood of rain arrives between 6pm and 8pm, when a band of light showers is expected to move across the area. By this point temperatures will have dipped back to around 6–7 degrees. The rest of the evening remains cloudy with a moderate breeze, though any further showers are expected to be scattered and short-lived.

Clearer spells are possible late tonight and into the early hours, with temperatures falling to around 4 degrees by Sunday morning.

The Met Office warning still highlights the risk of localised flooding and slower travel if heavier bands of rain develop across the wider county. Visitors heading into town for the Frost Fayre may still want to bring waterproofs, but the latest forecast indicates conditions are likely to be far more manageable than first feared.
