Two people have been seriously injured following a crash between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on the B3151 near Glastonbury.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 10am on Thursday morning (29 May), where a major response was launched, including two air ambulances.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 09:53hrs on Thursday 29 May to a road traffic collision in Glastonbury. We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, two air ambulances, an operations officer, and a tactical commander to the scene. We conveyed two patients by air ambulances, one to Southmead Hospital and one to Southampton General Hospital."

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that both individuals sustained serious injuries. The full circumstances of the collision are still being investigated.
