Blood on the pavement as police probe incident in Glastonbury town centre

Police are investigating two incidents in Glastonbury after a woman was found injured in Magdalene Street, minutes after a shop worker reported being assaulted on the High Street.
Emergency services were called just before 7pm on Wednesday 28 May. The woman, who had reportedly been at a residential property on Lambrook Street shortly beforehand, was found injured and taken to Yeovil District Hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are taking place following incidents which police responded to in Glastonbury yesterday (Wednesday 28 May).
"A woman was taken to hospital after being found injured in Magdalene Street at approximately 6.50pm. We understand she had attended a residential address in Lambrook Street a short time before.
"At this stage it is unknown how the woman was injured but can confirm her injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
"We are keeping an open mind whether the incident is linked to an assault earlier in the evening. A shop worker, in High Street, reported he was assaulted by a woman at about 6.30pm.
"Officers remain in the area conducting enquiries today. The local neighbourhood policing team has already been carrying out additional reassurance patrols in the area."
The South Western Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 7.01pm and sent a double-crewed land ambulance and tactical commander to the scene. One patient was taken to hospital.
Police cordoned off both Magdalene Street and Lambrook Street on Wednesday night and remained at the scene into the evening.
