UNTIL Monday 23rd May
Stones and Tales is a one-day practical, in-depth writers' workshop at Abbey House, Glastonbury. It's perfect for anyone who loves history and wants to write about it, either as creative non-fiction, or 'faction' (creative factually-based writing), or just as a loose basis for a rollicking made-up story. Complete beginners welcome.
Monday May 23 at Abbey House, Glastonbury, 9.30am – 4.30pm.
Cost is £60Tickets are available HERE
During the day, Mark and Beth will discuss how they wrote their novella, 'Broken Angels' by weaving fact and imagination into a living tale. We'll then visit the Abbey grounds where you can join in our guided talk about how the Abbey's stones and walls can be re-imagined as a living (or dying, depending on your time period) entity and a setting for your own ideas. Alternatively, you can explore and research inspirational gems in your own way.
Throughout the day, Mark will be on hand to advise about facts and ideas and Beth will offer guidance on how to write your story. The cost is £60 which includes a signed copy of 'Broken Angels,' free entry to the Abbey for the day and coffee and biscuits. Please bring your own lunch.
