It's two years since England went into the first lockdown due to Covid-19.
It was something that affected the lives of every single person, and for many people life has never been the same since. After speaking to family and friends about way the pandemic had touched their lives, Rosanne Gallagher from Glastonbury was inspired to start collecting people's stories to create a book Memories of Lockdown.
Rosanne said: "After watching what was going on in the world for just over a year I realised people were thinking very differently, and reacting very differently."I saw relationships fall to pieces and I was very saddened by that.
"In June 2021, I decided to invite people to tell their own stories, and my aim was to create more understanding during the time of crisis."I reached out through my friendship circle, and told them what I wanted to do and why. I said I was looking for real heartfelt stories. Almost everyone I approached wanted to tell their stories, and I put the book out just before Christmas.
"The response has been amazing. I think one of the main things to come out of it is that people didn't always realise what other people were going through, because our worlds became very small."Since publishing the book I have been contacted by lots of people who want to tell their stories too.
"I want to create a trilogy so I'm now working on a second book, which will cover September 2021 to June 2022, and then I am planning a third next year. A lot of the writers will be the same so readers can follow their journey."I think it's really interesting, and I hope these books will ultimately become a little piece of history."
