Glastonbury-based paint company Thorndown helped decorate an illegally parked car at the recent Frost Fayre in the town.

While they were running a Christmas Tree Decoration painting workshop for local charity Children's World, an illegally parked car left in the High Street was decorated using one of their Peelable Glass Paint Christmas Stencil Craft Packs.

Making a nice change from a parking ticket the decorations looked ever-so festive and the owner could rest assured that the paint could be easily peeled off without leaving any trace.

Thorndown's new Stencil Craft Packs allow every budding artist, up-cycler and home crafter to create fabulous pieces with a minimum of effort.

Available in three designs, the Stencil Craft Packs contain a range of durable re-usable stencils, an art brush, and four 40ml craft tins of Peelable Glass Paint.

Launching with Christmas, Golden Floral and Summer Floral designs, the stencil packs will later be available in a range of additional designs with Valentine's, Easter, Animals, Birds, and Fantasy coming in the new year.

Thorndown's revolutionary Peelable Glass Paint is made using a 100 per cent recycled plastic resin, is water-based, non-toxic, low in odour and contains architectural exterior-grade colour pigments. All packaging is recyclable and old coatings can be returned to the factory for recycling.

Stencils can be used to create whole window displays or decorative designs on everyday shiny objects from mirrors and tiles to jam jars, vases and plastic pots.

The stencils are made from a durable acetate material that can be used time and time again.

When the glass paint decoration is no longer needed the paint can be peeled off, or can be left on for years and years.
