What’s on at The Loft this autumn – from wrestling and weddings to brunches, bangers and big nights out

The Loft in Street isn't slowing down any time soon – and if you thought it was just a bar, think again. The venue has unveiled a stacked line-up for the coming months, mixing live music, themed nights, big-screen drama and even a wrestling showdown.

First up, wrestling fans get their fix on Sunday 14 September when Ultimate Pro Wrestling takes over The Loft with Ground Zero. Expect flying elbows, big personalities and a lot of noise – doors open 3.30pm, bell time 4pm.

Tuesday 16 September brings something gentler with a SEND Supper designed for families, carers and children with additional needs. There's soft play, a special £5 kids' menu, quiet spaces and the reassurance of a safe, inclusive evening.

Things switch gears on Sunday 21 September with the Over 30s Daytime Disco – doors open at 2pm and it's wall-to-wall classics until 6pm. If you want to dance but be home before Strictly starts, this one's for you.

On Thursday 25 September, Tom Harding – lead singer with Union Gap – brings his Through The Decades show to Street. It's the floorfillers of the 60s, 70s and 80s plus a two-course dinner for £30.

If you've still got energy left, Friday 26 September is the Loft's 90s vs 00s party. Expect Britney, Blur, Eminem, Spice Girls and a lot of questionable fashion choices. Fancy dress is encouraged, regrets optional.

October kicks off with something altogether more romantic as the Loft hosts a Wedding Fair on Sunday 5 October. Entry's free, so if you're planning the big day it's worth a look – and yes, you can book the venue itself for receptions.

On Sunday 12 October it's time to loosen your tie and sip a cocktail as Michael Appleton performs his tribute to Michael Bublé, hosted by Tim Pitman. Doors open at 7pm, the show runs 8–10pm, tickets £15.

A week later and The Loft goes cabaret – Thursday 23 October sees Eleazar King serve up Motown and soul with a two-course dinner for £30.

November is no quieter. On Sunday 9 November, drag stars Miss Demeanor McCall and Misty Monique host a brunch with bottomless prosecco available – the fizz flows 1–3pm.

The following Sunday, 16 November, Angie Lang brings her Tribute to the Divas show featuring the hits of Whitney, Diana Ross, Celine Dion and more, with lunch included.

On top of all that, The Loft still runs its monthly quiz night on the last Sunday of every month – £2.50 per head, maximum six per team, cash jackpot for the winners.
It's a line-up that pretty much covers everyone – families, dancers, divas, Bublé superfans and anyone who fancies a disco before tea.
