Men in Street aged 40 and over are being urged to book a free prostate cancer test at an event taking place this autumn.

The Somerset Prostate Support Association (SPSA) is running the clinic on Saturday 15 November 2025, from 10am to 4pm, at the Victoria Club on Leigh Road.

Every year 40,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer and around 10,000 die from the disease. Organisers say early diagnosis can be crucial to successful treatment.

Appointments last around 10 to 15 minutes and must be booked online in advance. It will not be possible to be tested on the day without a prior booking. All tests are confidential and carried out by qualified medical practitioners.
