Strode College's "Mission Employable" event on January 29th offers young people a fast-track to apprenticeships.

Young people are being offered a fast-track route into work as Strode College launches a new event to help them land apprenticeships.

Mission Employable, taking place on 29 January from 6pm to 8pm, is aimed at anyone looking to get their foot in the door — whether they're leaving school, changing direction or simply unsure where to start.

The evening will feature real employers, apprentice ambassadors and a panel discussion where students can hear exactly what companies look for, what makes someone stand out, and what the day-to-day reality of an apprenticeship is really like.

Organisers say it's about building confidence and giving young people the inside track — before they even apply.

Students will also learn how to find an employer, join Strode's new Talent Pool matching service, and get tips on applications and interviews.

The event focuses on some of the most in-demand careers, including:

  • Hairdressing and beauty
  • Management and team leading
  • Hospitality
  • Childcare and education
  • Design and creative media
  • Business and finance

There'll be a relaxed coffee break, time to ask questions, and the chance to hear from current apprentices who've already been through the process.

Strode, now part of the UCS College Group, says it's expanding apprenticeship options even further — with more industries available across its wider campuses.

Anyone interested can register now via the Strode College website.
