Priddy Folk Festival returns with music, dance and more in Somerset this July

One of Somerset's best loved festivals returns to the Mendip Hills this summer with a packed line‑up of music, dance and family fun.
The Priddy Folk Festival will take place from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 July 2025, with headline acts including Eabhal, The Drystones, Kate Griffin and Matchume Zango, the Siobhan Miller Band, Merry Hell, Katherine Roberts and Sean Lakeman, Jali Bakary Konteh with Sarah Deere‑Jones, Rooftop Assembly, Perkelt and many more.
In addition to its ticketed programme, the festival offers a huge range of free events across the picturesque village of Priddy, from Border and Cotswold Morris dancing to rapper and clog displays and Cornish and Hungarian dance groups.
The popular Fringe showcases up‑and‑coming Somerset talent, while younger visitors can enjoy crafts, singing and performance throughout the weekend.
Poetry sessions at the village church feature award‑winning writers including Sean Borodale and JLM Morton, alongside an art display from the Caravan Gallery. Archaeology and wildlife walks, ceilidhs and a range of workshops complete the line‑up.
Set on and around Priddy's village green, the festival has become a firm favourite for its welcoming atmosphere.
BBC Countryfile Magazine named it one of the UK's top ten music festivals, and it's long been called "the friendliest folk festival in England" thanks to its mix of great music, dance and beautiful surroundings.
Now in its 32nd year, Priddy Folk Festival began as a small PTA fundraiser and remains a not‑for‑profit event run entirely by volunteers.
Profits support the local primary school and other causes, as well as collaborations with Wells Blue School and the National Centre for Folk Arts at Halsway Manor to nurture young talent.
