Police in Glastonbury say they are responding to ongoing reports of antisocial behaviour connected to a squat in the former Papa John's premises on Market Place.

The disused building has been linked to complaints involving noise, minor disorder and concerns from some local residents and businesses.

Officers say they are monitoring the area regularly and are in contact with the people currently occupying the building. Work is also under way with the local council and housing services to assess next steps.

A police spokesperson said: "Our priority is to work closely with partner agencies … to address the situation. We are conducting regular patrols in the area, engaging with the individuals involved, and exploring legal options to resolve the occupation of the premises."

Members of the public are encouraged to report any issues via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.

"Your information helps us take targeted action and improve safety in the community," police added.
