Band channels Nic Cage, summons Glastonbury’s Hollywood neighbour

A band that channels the furious riffs of Rage Against The Machine through the unpredictable energy of Hollywood star Nicolas Cage is heading to Somerset — and they want the man himself in the crowd.
Nic-Cage Against The Machine will play The Tree House in Frome on Saturday 27 September, performing Rage anthems with a full Nicolas Cage makeover — complete with costumes, props, and nods to his most famous movie moments.
Cage, who owns a home just outside Glastonbury, already has his name on the guest list. In fact, the band say they keep a "Nicolas Cage plus one" spot reserved at every gig, just in case.
"It would be a dream to have him there," the band said.
Support comes from Somerset punk outfit Eton Mess, who promise a high-energy set of post-punk and alternative rock.
- And if the actor does make an appearance, here's how it could play out:
1. Ghost Rider guitar solo – Mid-Bulls on Parade, he rides a blazing motorbike on stage, grabs a flaming guitar and shreds until the strings burn out.
2. Spider-Man Noir stage dive – Cloaked in black, he delivers a moody monologue from beneath a solitary spotlight before leaping into the crowd without warning.
3. The Wicker Man bees – He silently tips a sack of bees over the stage and walks away. Chaos ensues.
4. Face/Off guitar swap – Switches places with the lead guitarist mid-song. The crowd's not sure who's who anymore.
5. National Treasure finale – He ends the gig by producing a map to the afterparty from inside the Declaration of Independence.
Tickets are £16.50 in advance plus booking fee from The Tree House. More about the band is on their Linktree.
