Glastonbury High Street will be transformed into a sea of zombies this Halloween as the annual Zombie Walk returns on Friday, 31 October 2025. The free community event is scheduled from 4.30pm to 7.30pm and supports the local charity Children's World.
Face‑painting and costume rag supplies will be available from 3.30pm at The Crown's King William Skittle Alley for any last‑minute undead transformations. To facilitate the march, the High Street along with Magdalene Street and Benedict Street will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event.

What's happening and when
A packed programme is set out for the evening:
- 3.30pm–5.30pm: Paint your zombie at The Crown (face‑paints and rags supplied)
- 4.30pm: Official welcome to the Zombie Walk
- 4.45pm: Performance by the Glastonbury Border Morris Dancers
- 5.00pm: "Dead steady Emily" from Devito's Circus
- 5.10pm: Funny Bones Dante, part of the Children's World Youth Committee
- 5.20pm: "Dead funny and dying to entertain", Devito's Circus
- 5.45pm: Day of the Dead 'Takem Dancers'
- 6.00pm: Glastonbury Dragon Drummers ignite the march
- 6.05pm: The Town Crier releases the zombie horde
Participants are encouraged to "dress to distress" — rags and face‑paints supplied on site — and to bring their best graveyard swagger. Donations from marchers and spectators are welcome, with all proceeds going to Children's World, which runs creative workshops for young people across Somerset.
Road closures and access details
Key roads including Magdalene Street, High Street and Benedict Street will be closed from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. Organisers recommend arriving early for parking and ease of access, as the area will become crowded.

Why it matters
The Zombie Walk has become a highlight on the Glastonbury calendar, offering inclusive, fun, family‑friendly Halloween festivities while raising funds for a local charity.
No tickets are required — the event is unticketed and open to all. Come along, join the march, bring your best zombie look and support a good cause. Tag your photos with #ZombieWalk2025 to share your undead transformation.
