Glastonbury Tor climb to raise funds for autism charity
By Laura Linham 5th Mar 2026
A group of home-educated children from a Somerset support group are preparing to climb Glastonbury Tor to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
The youngsters are part of Blossom and Thrive, a weekly group supporting home-educated children with a focus on special educational needs and emotional wellbeing.
The children and their carers plan to climb the Tor together, turning one of Somerset's best-known landmarks into a fundraising challenge aimed at supporting autistic people and their families.
Organisers say the children are excited to lace up their trainers and take on the climb as a team.
Blossom and Thrive said the event is about giving something back to organisations that support their families and community, while also boosting the children's confidence.
Money raised will go to the National Autistic Society, which provides advice, specialist education and national campaigning to improve support and understanding for autistic people across the UK.
Anyone wishing to support the fundraiser can donate via the Blossom and Thrive JustGiving page.
