Glastonbury to host free health and wellbeing event
By Laura Linham 9th Sep 2026
A free event bringing health, wellbeing and community support services together in one place is coming to Glastonbury next week.
The Community Village will take place at the Festival Hall at St Dunstan's Community Health and Wellbeing Hub on Wednesday, 16 September from 9 am to 4.30 pm.
The drop-in event will bring together local and Somerset-wide services, health and wellbeing partners and voluntary organisations, with visitors able to find out what help is available closer to home.
Organisers say it may be particularly useful for people living with ongoing pain or mobility issues, older residents, people experiencing social isolation and anyone looking for support to remain active, connected and independent.
Visitors will be able to speak directly to organisations, ask questions, collect information and find out about services operating within their neighbourhood.
There is no need to make an appointment and people can arrive at any point during the open sessions.
The Community Village will close for lunch between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm, before reopening for the afternoon.
Last entry will be at 3.45 pm to give visitors enough time to speak to organisations before the event finishes at 4.30 pm.
Entrance is through the Festival Hall entrance at St Dunstan's House Community Health and Wellbeing Centre in Glastonbury.
The event is intended to make it easier for residents to discover support they may not otherwise know is available and to make direct contact with organisations working across health, wellbeing and the voluntary sector.
The Community Village runs from 9 am to 4.30 pm on Wednesday, 16 September, with the one-hour lunchtime closure from 12.30 pm.
Further information is available through the West Mendip Primary Care Network website.
