Fed-up households in Glastonbury say they've gone weeks without regular post — and warn delays are hitting important letters and medication deliveries.
Residents in the Windmill Hill area say mail is arriving in bulk, with some envelopes dated back to September. Several have raised concerns about the gaps between deliveries, claiming the service is now too unreliable to depend on.
Royal Mail has acknowledged recent issues but rejected suggestions of widespread failure.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "Post is being delivered to addresses on Windmill Hill Road at least every other day. Our posties are working hard to ensure that any delays caused by resourcing challenges are kept to a minimum. We are working to improve our service and will be recruiting for more posties shortly."
The company also suggested fewer letters being sent overall could be skewing public perception and may falsely give the impression of a larger issue with deliveries.
