Morrisons shoppers donate nearly £900 at Christmas

Customers at the Morrisons store in Glastonbury donated £897.21 to a Christmas collection run by Glastonbury and Street Lions Club.
The club held the collection over three days in the run-up to Christmas 2025, with funds to be used to benefit local groups, organisations and individuals as agreed by the Lions members.
Three club representatives recently visited the Glastonbury store to thank staff and present Community Champion Stella with a Certificate of Appreciation for this year's support. They also gifted the store a Banner of Appreciation in recognition of its long-standing help.
A spokesperson for Glastonbury and Street Lions Club said: "We are most grateful to the customers of Morrisons who were very charitable with their donations, and the club would like to thank the management and staff at the store for making us feel so welcome.
"It was very noticeable this year that so many people were in a very cheerful mood despite the challenges that many are facing. It was an opportunity to think about those less fortunate than ourselves, and with everyone's help our collection will enable us to perhaps bring a smile to the faces of some needing our support."
