Glastonbury family festival brings circus to farm
By Laura Linham 2nd Jul 2026
Glastonbury families are being invited to a two-day festival at Paddington Farm packed with circus, workshops, music, face painting and a silent disco.
Children's World Charity is hosting its Family Festival 2026 on Saturday, 1 August, and Sunday, 2 August, from 11 am to 5 pm each day. The event is being run in partnership with Devito's Circus and is designed as a low-cost day out for families in Glastonbury and the surrounding area.
Organisers say the festival is led and delivered by charity volunteers, youth committee members, local performers and workshop providers. The aim is to make the event accessible, affordable and joyful, especially for families living in poverty in central Glastonbury and nearby communities.
A single ticket covers entry to all performances, circus acts, workshops, silent disco, face painting, walkabout entertainment and bubbles. The programme includes Devito's Circus, arts and crafts, musical fusion with Big Fam Disco, drumming and percussion, a kids' talent show, owls and more.
There will also be walkabout entertainers and a new silent disco, with families invited to "get your groove on" to a range of dance music. Organisers said there will be a small additional charge for hula hoop activities.
Advance tickets cost £8.50 per person, per day, including ticket processing fees. On-the-door tickets will cost £10, but will only be available if advance tickets have not sold out.
Under-threes can attend for free, although a ticket is still required for each child. Car parking costs £2 per day, and visitors are being encouraged to car share where possible, with very limited disabled parking available.
New for 2026, a 16-seat minibus will run from opposite Glastonbury Town Hall to Paddington Farm. The service will be bookable to the festival, with an open return, starting at 10.45 am and with the last pick-up from Glastonbury at 2.45 pm. The final bus back to Glastonbury will leave at 5.30 pm.
Organisers said the minibus will not be suitable for pushchairs and prams, although small foldaway buggies can be brought on board and stored within a passenger's seat area. Anyone who needs support accessing the festival, including wheelchair transport, is being asked to contact Children's World Charity.
Concessions are also available for families who need support with ticket costs. People are asked to email the charity with details of their circumstances.
Affordable hot food will be available to buy on site, including hot dogs, burgers, chips, vegetarian and vegan options, ice cream, candy floss, popcorn, and hot and cold drinks. A new caterer will also offer a meal deal this year.
Camping is available separately through Paddington Farm. Anyone who wants to volunteer at the festival can contact Children's World Charity by emailing [email protected] or calling 01458 833693.
