Street Parish Council seeks two new councillors
By Laura Linham 30th Jun 2026
Street residents are being invited to put themselves forward for two vacancies on Street Parish Council.
The council says it is looking for people who are passionate about the community and want to help make a positive difference in the village. Applications for co-option will be considered by the full council on Tuesday, 21 July.
Parish councillors help represent residents and make decisions affecting local services, projects, facilities and open spaces. The role is voluntary and no previous council experience is required.
The council said being a parish councillor gives people the chance to represent local residents, support community projects and services, and work with fellow councillors for the good of Street. It also includes helping to protect and improve the village's open spaces and facilities.
The council added: "No previous experience is required, just a commitment to serving the community and a willingness to get involved."
Anyone interested can download a co-option application form from the Street Parish Council website. Residents who would like an informal discussion about the role can contact the clerk by emailing [email protected] or calling 01458 440588.
The vacancies will be considered by full council on Tuesday, 21 July.
