Glastonbury care staff honoured for outstanding service

By Guest 25th Jun 2025

Care staff in Glastonbury are celebrating after being recognised at an annual award ceremony.

Candlelight Homecare, a family‑run company based in Glastonbury, held its eighth annual Outstanding Achievement Awards lunch last week. The programme allows colleagues and clients to nominate staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

This year, four staff members from Glastonbury came out on top. Pamela Siyawareva was named Best Newcomer, Rebecca Eades took the Outstanding Care Professional award, Eleanor Halford was recognised as Senior Care Professional, and Jenny Khahlu received the Live‑In Care Award.

Another 14 colleagues were announced as finalists, while four long‑serving staff were honoured for a combined total of more than 80 years with the company.

James Catley‑Day, Managing Director of Candlelight Homecare, said: "The Candlelight Homecare Outstanding Achievement Awards is now in its eighth year and has become a true highlight in our calendar. Our colleagues are the reason that Candlelight Homecare continues to thrive, and it is important that we take this opportunity to thank them all for their efforts."

Candlelight Homecare has been providing homecare and live‑in services across Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and East Sussex for over 35 years. Its services are rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission.
