Glastonbury and Street are set for an event-packed weekend, featuring a range of activities from musical performances to community-focused events.

Friday, May 10th

The weekend kicks off with an exciting musical lineup at The Assembly Rooms of Glastonbury, where the folk duo Good Habits will showcase their award-winning, genre-fusing sounds as part of their "Quarter-life Album Tour". The event promises an action-packed evening of vivid storytelling and virtuosic musicianship. More details on this can't-miss performance are available here.

Also on Friday, local music enthusiasts can enjoy a live performance by Deviant Amps at The King Arthur. The band is set to deliver a dynamic set from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, perfect for kicking off the weekend with some energetic vibes.

Saturday, May 11th

Saturday offers a blend of community spirit and classical music. The Glastonbury Seedling & Plant Swap takes place on the High Street, inviting gardening aficionados to swap plants, seeds, and seedlings. This community event runs from 10 AM to 12 noon, opposite the Co-op. Details can be found here.

For those drawn to the classical music scene, Strode Theatre hosts "A Concert of Strauss, Dvořák, and Brahms" starting at 7:30 PM. The Mid-Somerset Orchestra will feature young cellist Gerard Flotats in a performance that includes some of the most beloved compositions by these classical giants. Cultural offerings continue with a performance by Damh the Bard at The Assembly Rooms of Glastonbury. From 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, attendees can enjoy an evening filled with rich musical storytelling.

Sunday, May 12th

The weekend winds down with "Abbey and Town Tours" at Glastonbury Abbey. From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, visitors can explore the historic and mystical aspects of Glastonbury through guided tours that promise to enlighten and entertain.

Additionally, don't miss your last chance to register a team for the Merriman Park Fun Quiz! This charity event, set for Friday, May 17th, at the Victoria Club in Street, is your opportunity to test your trivia skills while supporting local community efforts. Teams must book in advance.
