Glastonbury's own Queen of Cups, led by Chef Owner Ayesha Kalaji, has been named the Best Trencherman's Newcomer at the Trencherman's Awards 2024.

The event took place at the historic Bovey Castle on April 29, celebrating the South West's finest in the hospitality industry.

"I'm absolutely ecstatic to have been awarded Best Newcomer, in such a prestigious guide! It's a huge achievement for my team and I, and hopefully the start of even bigger things!" Kalaji said following the win.

The Trencherman's Guide, known for highlighting top culinary spots in the South West, hosted the awards. The evening's theme was 'vintage glamour', fitting the grand setting of Bovey Castle. The event featured a multi-course feast prepared by previous award winners and the host chef, showcasing the collaborative and high standards of the region's culinary scene.

The Queen of Cups stood out among competitors, including Source Kitchen, St Ives, and Catch at the Old Fish Market, Weymouth.
