Avon and Somerset Police are seeking witnesses to the single vehicle collision which happened on Monday (July 19) near Glastonbury just before 4pm.

A white Audi, travelling from Middle Drove on to Watchwell Drove in the direction of Butleigh, left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, an elderly female, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

As reported on Glastonbury Nub News yesterday, the woman was trapped in her car after the crash, and Watchwell Drove was closed for a couple of hours while she was freed by the emergency services.

The police would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has dash cam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it. If you can help, call 101 quoting reference 5221163300.
