We are looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee the engineering operations at our clients busy distribution centre in Somerset. Working with the senior management team you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to ensure the smooth operation of highly automated logistics systems, machinery and equipment and be responsible for delivering not only exceptional maintenance processes but also maintaining a safe working environment. Leading a team of engineers you need to be a strong and clear communicator driving performance while building good relationships with the team. Key Responsibilities for a Shift Supervisor

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with the Senior Team planning the Preventative Maintenance Schedule of the automated material handling equipment.
• Attend daily meeting to prioritise and distribute work load.
• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team.
• Carry out Performance Reviews
• Manage spare parts and Monitoring inventory and usage

• Recognised Engineering Qualification, ideally HNC
• Proven experience in a supervisory role in an engineering environment.
• Experience managing a team.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery and material handling equipment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong Communicator
• Hold an IOSH certificate.

• Salary £50,300 inc Shift Allowance
• Panama Shift
• Days & Nights 6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am
• Holiday 240 hours per year
