UNTIL Saturday 23rd July

Operation Red Thread

Join us for an afternoon of sacred embroidery to honour the goddess and the return of the consciousness of the sacred feminine on this earth.

This event is hosted by Safiya Mary Rose, sacred embroidery artist, writer and priestess for the Magdalene community. Safiya will share her experiences with embroidery as an act of weaving new realities into being.

This event is part of Operation Red Thread - a collective creative project intended to make our connection to the Divine Mother visible and reveal and honour her as the Red Thread throughout the history of this earth and humanity. You can read more about the project here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1361267844321368

* You are welcome to join us on the 23rd of July from 2pm to 4pm in the Avalon Room, Glastonbury Courtyard, High Street Glastonbury (next to the Goddess Temple)

* No prior embroidery experience is needed to participate, in fact, most people participating in the project are first-time embroiderers

* The event is open to men and women

* Participation is donation based

* We can provide an embroidery kit for you for £10 or you can bring your own: you will need a white square of fabric measuring 13x13 cm - please add a border of at least 5cm to allow us to assemble all the squares. You will also need an embroidery hoop, some red thread and a needle.

* If you'd like to participate or need more information, please write us a message at anais.theyskens@gmail.com

In Operation Red Thread we embroider the words or symbols we feel connect us to the Goddess and in a symbolic act of collective weaving we bring her back to the forefront of our human consciousness.

We wish to bring awareness to the importance of honouring the divine feminine to restore balance.
