What's On in Street and Glastonbury: A melange of music, markets, and more this weekend

This weekend is shaping up to be a lively one filled with a diverse range of activities that promise to engage and delight both residents and visitors.
Kicking off the weekend is the much-anticipated Wrong Speed Fest at The King Arthur on Benedict Street in Glastonbury. A showcase of genre-defying tunes from Somerset-based record label, Wrong Speed, the festival offers two days of music and vegan sausage rolls from June 30th to July 1st. Weekend tickets are available at £35 for a chance to immerse yourself in a unique blend of sounds and a spirited atmosphere.
Meanwhile, St. Johns Church in Glastonbury, hosts its Patronal Flower Festival from Friday, June 23rd to Friday, June 30th. The festival will artistically depict the seven sacraments in bloom throughout the church. Entry is free, and all are welcome.
Adding to the music scene, the King William Inn on Market Place will host Strange Folk on July 1st, at 9:00 PM GMT+1. With a harmonious blend of rock, folk, and neo-gothic elements, their music promises to offer an unforgettable experience for attendees.
The Glastonbury Wytches' Market is set to cast its spell on the town from 10am to 5pm on Saturday at the Glastonbury Town Hall. As a celebration of independent artisans from across the UK, the market offers a delightful window into the realm of unique crafts and art.
A special concert by Mad Dog Mcrea is also on the agenda for Saturday, July 1st, at 6:00 pm in Meadway Hall, Compton Dundon. The band, known for its unique blend of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, and bluegrass, will entertain the crowd for a cause - a charity fundraiser for the restoration of Compton Dundon church bells. Tickets are available for £27.50, including a booking fee.
At Strode Theatre in Street, several performances await patrons. On Friday, June 30th, catch a theatrical performance of 'The Marriage of Figaro' by Bath Opera, followed by 'The Little Mermaid' movie screening running until Sunday, July 2nd. Finally, the Mid-Somerset Orchestra is ready to dazzle audiences with their Summer Concert on Saturday, July 1st.
