Three men dressed in full medieval armour are set to take on the gruelling 6km Tor Challenge on Saturday 27 September at 10am, all in support of Children's Hospice South West. The feat, believed to be a first of its kind, will see the trio march through Glastonbury's steep and rugged terrain in heavy metal gear.

Leading the charge are Guy Clifford, 68, and John Mason, 64, both members of the Fellowship of the Knights of the Round Table of King Arthur – a group known for their charity fundraising.

They'll be joined by Matt Waughman for the challenge, which is being backed by local restaurant My Fine Delhi.

Locals are being encouraged to come out on the day, take photos, walk alongside the knights or simply drop coins into collection buckets along the route.

All money raised will go towards supporting seriously ill children and their families.

Organisers say the walk has never been completed in armour before and describe it as a "huge undertaking" – making every bit of public support vital.
