Police responded to an incident outside the former Natwest Bank in Street on Saturday, 18th November, following a report of a man being assaulted.

The ambulance service alerted the authorities shortly before 5pm about a man who had been punched in the head.

"The man was taken to hospital with a facial injury. He has since been discharged," the police stated.

In the wake of the incident, a 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.

"A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and has since been released on bail," the police added.

The police are now urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward to aid their investigation by calling 101.
