If you're planning a casual pop into the Lloyds branch in Street, you might want to adjust your mindset—and your watch.

From Monday 29 September, weekday opening will be pushed back to 9.30 am (or 10 am on Wednesdays), with closing times also creeping up half an hour to earlier in the afternoon—expect shutters around 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, depending on the day.

Saturdays get the nudge too: the bank will no longer open its doors until 9.30 am. All this is part of a sweeping change across all 757 Lloyds and Halifax branches nationally, intended to "simplify and standardise" schedules.
