Skaters dressed as snowmen will take over the ice at Clarks Village next month for a free event billed as the "World's Biggest Snowman Skate". The shopping outlet in Street is inviting people to join the unofficial record attempt on Thursday, 12 November, from 5pm to 7pm.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own snowman costumes. A limited number of suits will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will include artificial falling snow, a live DJ and appearances by Santa and Frosty the Snowman. It follows previous Santa and elf-themed skates at the outlet.

Clarks Village is describing the challenge as an unofficial world record attempt to gather the most snowmen skating together. Tickets for the event are free and can be booked through the ice rink booking website.
