Police in Street boost patrols over drug concerns.

Police in Street have increased patrols in response to concerns about possible drug-related activity in the village.

The Street Neighbourhood Team confirmed it had received reports from members of the public and has been carrying out high-visibility foot patrols in the areas identified.

As part of the response, officers have also been handing out leaflets to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We take concerns about drug-related crime seriously and are committed to tackling the issue through proactive policing and community engagement. Our neighbourhood team is actively patrolling the areas reported to us, and we urge anyone with information or concerns to get in touch."

The team has been focusing on locations flagged by residents and says it is working to identify those involved and take appropriate action.

Anyone with concerns about drug activity in their area is encouraged to call 101 or report it online through the Avon and Somerset Police website.
