A man from Street has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with more than 20 burglaries across Somerset and Devon over the past four months.

Andrew Sharman, 44, of Street, appeared before Taunton Magistrates' Court on Monday, 18 November, alongside two other men, Joshua Charles Heal, 25, of Bridgwater, and Ethan Sharman, 21, of Somerton.

The trio face charges of conspiring to commit multiple burglaries of both dwellings and other buildings across Somerset and Devon between August and November this year.

Police arrested the men on Friday, 15 November, and searched four properties, recovering a haul of suspected stolen items. The items seized included antique silverware, paintings, furniture, weapons, power tools, garden machinery, and electrical equipment.

Detective Sergeant Charlie Pulling, who is leading the investigation, described it as "a complex ongoing investigation by a dedicated team of officers drawing together expertise from across Avon and Somerset Police."

He added: "Our enquiries continue and we're working to identify the rightful owners of the property we've seized."

Anyone who believes their belongings may be among the recovered items is urged to email the police with their crime reference number, a description or photograph of the item, and proof of ownership.

All three men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Taunton Crown Court on Friday, 20 December.

If you have any information that could assist the investigation, contact police on 101, quoting reference 5224296989.
