If you're currently staring at your bank account wondering if it's time to start charging your cat rent, don't panic – there are plenty of jobs on offer in Glastonbury and Street this week. From demolishing buildings to inspiring young minds, there's something for everyone (and no, sadly, cat wrangling isn't one of them).
Let's start in Street, where Somerset Care is recruiting a Care Supervisor at Southlawns. If you enjoy organising, supporting others, and occasionally reminding people that slippers don't go in the fridge, this could be the role for you. It pays £14.12 an hour (plus an extra £1 on weekends – hello, Sunday roast fund) and comes with the chance to earn further qualifications. Find out more here.
If your skills are more culinary than caregiving, Prezzo in Street needs a Head Chef. With a package worth up to £44,000, you could be the king or queen of Italian dining in Street. Bonus points if you can plate spaghetti with the grace of a Michelin star chef (or at least without dropping it in your lap). Apply now.
Teachers, we haven't forgotten you. A Secondary Teacher role is available in Street, offering a tidy £180 a day. If you've got the patience to explain algebra to teens while remembering your own name by 3pm, this one's for you. Click here to apply.
Glastonbury also needs an inspiring Year 5 Teacher to help shape the future. You'll be working in a school where values like kindness and creativity are taken seriously – no pressure, but there could be glitter involved. Learn more and apply.
In more hands-on roles, Glastonbury is offering the chance to be a Demolition Supervisor, because who doesn't secretly dream of knocking things down for a living? With £260 a day on offer, it's a smashing gig – literally. Details here.
Alternatively, if you prefer building things up, there's a position for an Architect in Glastonbury. With a salary up to £45,000, you'll be creating high-end residential and commercial projects – and let's be honest, nothing screams "grown-up" like talking about RIBA work stages. Check it out here.
Meanwhile, back in Street, a Female Support Worker role offers £12.42 an hour to help individuals live more independent lives. Compassion, patience, and a car are all you need (well, that and a willingness to do the occasional late-night shift). Learn more here.
And finally, for the sparky ones among us, Glastonbury is hiring an Electrician for £25 an hour. If you know your way around wiring and can work safely without setting anything on fire, this could be the perfect temporary gig. Apply here.
So, whether you're feeding the hungry, shaping young minds, or wielding a sledgehammer, there's something for everyone in Glastonbury and Street this week. Check out our Glastonbury jobs section for even more opportunities – and good luck!
