Sleek Easy Clean named finalist in Somerset awards 2026
By Laura Linham 5th Feb 2026
A Glastonbury business is among those shortlisted for the Somerset Business Awards 2026, as organisers confirmed the finalists following a county-wide judging process.
The Sleek Easy Clean, based in Glastonbury, has been named a finalist in the Medium Business of the Year category, which recognises companies with a turnover of up to £5 million. Judges travelled across Somerset to visit shortlisted businesses and meet the teams behind the entries before making their final decisions.
The Sleek Easy Clean, provides professional exterior cleaning services, including roofs, render and hard surfaces, and also offers specialist bio-hazard cleaning. This includes the remediation of potentially dangerous biological contaminants such as blood and bodily fluids, often following accidents, crime scenes or unattended deaths, with each project handled with sensitivity and care.
Founder, Laura Summers said: ". So proud of how far we've come - honestly, can't believe we're going to the awards ceremony. I'd better start looking for a dress."
The annual awards, run by Somerset Chamber of Commerce, are marking their 21st anniversary this year. The 2026 finalists come from towns and villages across the county, including Yeovil, Weston-super-Mare, Cheddar, Bridgwater, Taunton, Langport, Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet.
Shepton Mallet is represented on the shortlist by Haskins Furniture, which has been named a finalist in both the Service Excellence Award and the Business Resilience and Growth Award categories. No Wells-based businesses appear on this year's published list of finalists.
The awards are supported once again by main sponsor Albert Goodman, with the grand final set to take place at the Bath & West Showground on Thursday, 26 March 2026. The ceremony will be hosted by BBC Points West Business Correspondent Dave Harvey.
David Crew, managing director of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, said the judging process had been particularly competitive, with categories such as Service Excellence, Small Business of the Year and Investing in Somerset proving especially popular.
He said that despite challenging trading conditions, businesses and charities across Somerset had continued to deliver strong applications, adding that the awards were designed to shine a light on the work being done across the county.
Albert Goodman partner Mike Cahill said the awards offered businesses the chance to raise their profile, motivate teams and open up new opportunities, describing Somerset's business community as "vibrant".
Winners of the Somerset Business Awards 2026 will be announced at the March final.
