Glastonbury firm scoops top Somerset business award
By Laura Linham 31st Mar 2026
A Glastonbury business has scooped a top prize at one of Somerset's biggest awards nights after being crowned Medium Business of the Year.
The Sleek Easy Clean took the title at the 2026 Somerset Business Awards, announced at The Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet on Thursday, 26 March.
Nearly 500 business people from across the county attended the gala evening, which was organised by Somerset Chamber of Commerce and hosted by BBC Points West and BBC Somerset business correspondent Dave Harvey.
The win marks a major moment for the Glastonbury company, which had already been named as a finalist earlier this year. The award category recognises medium-sized businesses with a turnover of up to £5 million.
The Sleek Easy Clean provides professional exterior cleaning services, including roofs, render and hard surfaces, and also carries out specialist bio-hazard cleaning.
Founder Laura Summers said: "I'm honestly overwhelmed with emotion. I told myself I wouldn't cry — but there I was, completely sobbing. I never, ever imagined we would be in this position, let alone winning against such incredible companies.
"This is such a huge achievement for us as a company, and it truly means everything."
She also thanked her staff and clients for helping the business reach the county final and go on to win.
Ms Summers said: "I want to say a massive thank you to every single member of our team. Your hard work, dedication, and belief in what we do is what made this possible. And to all of our amazing clients—thank you for your continued support and trust in us. We wouldn't be here without you all.
"Here's to continuing to grow, improve, and achieve even more together."
This year marked the 21st anniversary of the Somerset Business Awards.
