Plans to overhaul Strode College in Street will go on show at a public drop-in event on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.

Locals are urged to attend the session at the college's Church Road campus (BA16 0AB), where they can view early proposals, ask questions and give feedback before a planning application is submitted.

The project — backed by the Department for Education and Somerset Council — aims to upgrade teaching facilities at Strode and expand catering services at nearby Crispin School.

Final designs haven't been confirmed. Organisers say public input at this stage will help shape what happens next.
