Queen of Cups on Northload Street in Glastonbury, which was formerly the Hawthorns, has announced some specials for Solstice weekend and Father's Day.

The pub, including the back garden, will be open for drinks all day from noon today (Friday), tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. Enjoy real ales, local ciders, cocktails and carefully selected wines and bubbles.

In the evenings (except for Sunday) they will be offering their sharing menu of tapas-style plates, with a Middle Eastern twist.

The menu features something for everyone, with options including vegan, pescatarian and gluten free. Meats are sourced from Stephens Butchers in Glastonbury.

The unique desserts include a Somerset apple cake, a rich chocolate and lime creme with lime crumble and granita, vegan orange blossom rice pudding and, of course, a local cheese plate.

The classic Hawthorns' Curry Club will make a special guest appearance during lunch service on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

There are a few tables left for Father's Day curries so booking is encouraged. You can book online via the booking portal at their website queenofcups.co.uk or call 01458 831255.
