Seven years on, Baltonsborough finally gets its Post Office back

Baltonsborough is set to get its Post Office back this autumn – seven years after the village lost its branch.
From Thursday 20 November, services will return at a new counter inside Baltonsborough Village Stores on Church Lane.
The opening restores a full-time service to the community for the first time since 2018, when the previous branch shut following the resignation of the postmaster.
Residents will once again be able to use a wide range of services locally, including personal and business banking, bill payments, sending parcels, foreign currency on demand and Western Union transfers.
The counter will be open 46.5 hours a week – Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm – alongside the shop's retail services.
For villagers, the return marks the end of years of travelling to neighbouring towns for everyday services. The Post Office said the move will provide greater convenience and help restore a vital community hub.
