Road Traffic Collision - Persons Trapped at Street Road, Glastonbury

Date: 26.07.2018Time: 17:16Location: Street Road, GlastonburyDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from our colleagues at the Ambulance Service reporting a 2 vehicle road traffic collision where 1 person was trapped within the vehicle.

Fire control mobilised one fire appliance and the rescue tender from Glastonbury, one appliance from Street and an Operational Assurance Officer.

On arrival crews confirmed a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. 1 person was still trapped within 1 of the vehicles but all other persons were free and clear of the vehicles. Paramedics were on scene treating casualties whilst crews were setting up equipment.

Crews removed the door of one of the vehicles to allow the female casualty to be extricated and handed over to the paramedics.

The scene was made safe and all crews returned to their home stations.
