Road Traffic Collision at Main Street, Walton, Street.

Date: 26.09.2018Time: 15:37Location: Main Street, Walton, Street.The Fire Service were called to a report of a road traffic collision with persons still within the vehicle. Fire control mobilised one fire appliance from Street, one fire appliance and the rescue tender from Glastonbury to this incident.

Once the crew got in attendance the officer in charge confirmed this to be a 3 vehicle with 3 persons trapped. The crews got to work immediately liaising with paramedics, stabilising all the vehicles and carrying out a B post removal of one of the vehicles with the use of hydraulic cutting equipment, this is so that the paramedics could gain access to casualties.

Once all persons are now free and clear from vehicles, 2 casualties are being conveyed to hospital via land ambulance. 3 casualties have now been released from vehicles by fire service personnel and are in care of on scene ambulance personnel.

Area made safe, crews have now returned to their home stations.
