A resubmitted application for six houses on the side of Wearyall Hill will be discussed at a virtual Glastonbury Town Council planning meeting on Tuesday (April 21).

The revised application for six homes at 24 The Roman Way will be discussed at the planning committee meeting, which will be held from 7pm via Zoom.

The planning application, by Mr Pierre D'Avoine, has seen a number of changes to the design of the houses and the layout since it was withdrawn in December.

According to the application, the layout is now more informal, the houses have been reduced in size and now lowered on to the ground rather than being on columns.

The balconies have been omitted, facades redesigned and 54 new trees will be planted, if the plans are given the go ahead.

Eleven other new planning applications are due to be discussed at the meeting, including an external covered walkway at St Mary's Church Hall and works to trees in a conservation area at Glastonbury Abbey.

Members of the public may submit their comments to [email protected] and if they wish to speak on an application, will be provided with the ID and password to allow them the opportunity to participate.
