Review of polling districts and polling places in Mendip

16th Jul 2021 | Local News
Mendip District Council is asking residents for their opinions on the polling stations across Mendip.
Under the Electoral Administration Act 2006, every five years an authority must complete a review of its polling districts and polling places.
The review is taking place to ensure that all polling districts and places have suitable facilities for the purpose of voting.
When deciding which buildings to use as polling places, the council tries to make sure that they are located as conveniently as possible for the majority of electors and that they are accessible to everyone, particularly anyone with a disability.
The consultation runs until Wednesday 16 July and people are being urged to share their views.
On completion of the review, the council will publish all correspondence sent and received, details of the results of the review including any issues raised and any changes which have been approved, giving the reasons for its decisions.
If you have any comments or concerns about a polling place, submit them to [email protected].
