The Mendip Neighbourhood Policing Team is calling all tradespeople to a special event aimed at tackling tool theft in the Glastonbury area.

The event, in partnership with SelectaDNA, is set to take place at the local B&Q store today (Thursday, 28 March), between 10am and 12pm.

This initiative offers a free solution for tradespeople concerned about the security of their equipment. It not only provides an opportunity to have tools marked with forensic technology but also allows individuals to discuss any concerns directly with their local policing team.

Forensic tool marking is being promoted as an effective measure to deter theft and assist in recovering stolen items. The technology makes it easier for police to identify and return stolen goods to their rightful owners.

In addition to tools, the policing team is also offering to mark bicycles on the day.

The Glastonbury Neighbourhood Policing Team encourages all local tradespeople and residents who wish to protect their bikes to attend this event and take advantage of the free security measures being offered.
