Police in Street have made tackling drug-related crime a top priority, with increased patrols in hotspot areas identified by the local community.

The Street Neighbourhood Policing Team confirmed that from 9 February 2025, officers will be focusing their patrols on locations linked to drug use and supply, aiming to disrupt illegal activity and provide reassurance to residents.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We are listening to local concerns and taking proactive steps to tackle drug-related crime in Street and surrounding villages. Our increased patrols will target areas highlighted by the community, helping to disrupt illegal activity and keep residents safe. We encourage anyone with information about drug-related crime to report it to us. Every piece of intelligence helps us take action where it's needed most."

The police urge residents to report any suspicious activity by calling 101 or using the online reporting tool on the Avon and Somerset Police website. In an emergency, always call 999.
