In a successful law enforcement operation, Mendip West police officers arrested two individuals in the Street and Glastonbury area on Thursday, April 19, one of whom was wanted on recall to prison.

The operation, which took place yesterday evening, involved the arrest of two men whom local authorities had actively sought.

This included a significant arrest of a male offender whose recall to prison was due to violations that were not disclosed by the police.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A busy evening for the Mendip West officers after arresting not one, but two wanted offenders from the Street and Glastonbury area that included a male wanted on recall to prison."

The police continue their efforts to monitor and manage criminal activity in the area, urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in future operations by calling 101.
